Environmentalism and Animal Rights in Islam Abul-Hasan Maalik Ibn Aadam

Though environmentalism and 'going green' has become a hot button topic in the west today, one never hears that Islam had already affirmed such rights for animals and the earth centuries before this became a fad for some and a global concern for others.
